Description
Items like this rarely come up. This is an alloy IndyCar wheel from Penske and appears to be from the 1980's This comes from the Clauson Marshall shops. It was acquired over the years in being associated with IndyCar.
The only thing known for sure is what is marked on the wheel. It is marked as "Penske Racing" on the wheel and has written "Machinists Union 31" on it as well.
A little research on the internet shows this MAY have come off the #31 PC7 car but there is NO verification of this other than what is written on the wheel. This is the ONLY information known about this piece.
It is dirty and has corrosion on it and will NOT be cleaned up. The new owner can decide what they would like to do with the patina. This could be a great piece for a restoration project or a great item to add to your personal collection.
Penske items very seldom come on the market so don't miss this rare opportunity.
